Access

From any direction there are a variety of forest service roads or short BLM roads that get to the edge of this Wilderness. Most of these roads are suitable for low-clearance vehicles, but if you try you can find some more interesting jeep tracks.

Safety

While hiking, there is nothing particularly unusual to consider from a safety standpoint.

On the water, there are a few serious rapids to scout at higher water. Check this awesome video out. Fire and brimstone coming down on my head is right–hot damn that is some water! American Whitewater page here.

Infrastructure

There are a few trails. The Douglas Creek Trail is about it. It typically has a lot of deadfall on it until a horsepacker or the Forest Service cuts it out.
